Protection of personal data
Personal data is stored in a separate part of Lysio Research Norge file system to which only a few employees have access. Outside this locked file system, all data is anonymized and there is no possibility to link an answer to a specific individual. The file system is protected partly by access restrictions and partly by a 4096 bit encryption. When Lysio Research Norge receives personal data, this is done via secure channels. In cases where we need to communicate personal data to subcontractors, such as printing or postal companies, this is also done via these secure channels.
Those who take part in the personal data
Regarding who takes part of the personal data can differ between projects. In some projects we handle information ourselves, while in other cases it is required that subcontractors take part of the information. This applies, for example, when surveys are to be printed. In those cases, registers are sent to a printing company that handles the work of sending out our surveys to the survey selection. In all cases where subcontractors handle personal data, there is an agreement that ensures that the subcontractor handles personal data according to the same principles as ourselves.
Personal data manager or personal data assistant
The person responsible for personal data is the personal data manager, who determines the purposes and means for the processing of personal data. The personal data assistant is the person who processes personal data on behalf of the personal data controller. Depending on the type of assignment, Lysio Research Norge, takes on one of these two roles in the assignment. In both cases, Lysio Research Norge, handles your personal data in the same, secure and confidential way. Information on how to contact us can be found under the section "Your rights"
Why do we process personal data
Why we process personal data differs between different assignments. It is our contractors who carry out surveys for various reasons. In connection with these, we handle personal data in order to be able to collect responses from the target groups affected by the assignments.
How long do Enkätfabriken save personal data?
Your personal information is stored for up to 80 days after a project has been completed. After this period, all data is anonymized and all personal data linked to the project is deleted.
After this period, there is no longer any possibility to link your answer to you as an individual. In studies that run over a longer period, for example studies where the same person answers follow-up questions year after year, the 80-day period is counted from the day when the entire study is completed. If ethical review allows, even in exceptional cases, information can be stored for longer periods.
